First Family 5 K

Ready for the race

We competed in our first Family 5K this past weekend.  It was great.  Just a small race that was a fundraiser for the school district call the All In 5K.  Jillian ran the entire  5K with an official time of 36:03. Sub 12 minute miles and she placed 8th in the 8 and under group. AWESOME job for a 6 year old. She was so proud of her achievement. Henry did a great job too. His time was 30:53. He was running fairly slow at the beginning and then took off for the last half. Andrew thinks his last mile was under 8 minutes!  Andrew said if he went any faster he would have had to send him ahead of him. All that training paid off.  Now I am not sure when we will run again.  Andrew only has two more weeks with us then he starts his new job in Austin.  Hopefully we can find a small one in TX next year to try.
