This year traveling to NY was quite different. First off, we didn't go in the summer. Which meant we encountered COLD (**Not really, but to us Arizonan's it was...45-50 at night and 70ish during the day), and dreary weather. I definitely missed my daily dose of sunshine after 3 days of clouds. Funny to think that we used to live there and it never bothered me. We were able to see the beautiful fall foliage, plus go apple picking. The kids also played a bunch in the sand and did lots of walks on the beach. We also were able to celebrate the marriage of two of our favorite people, Barbara and Bonnie. Since it was fall, they were not able to spend the week with us up at the Lake, but we kept busy. The kids had a blast doing all the things you usually do in the fall in NY, plus I got to read the entire Hunger Games series. So...I had a nice relaxing week. We also got to see Great Grandma Doris three times and she got to spend some quality time with the kids.
