Baby Chicks

Henry's Classroom hatched baby chickens this week.  We actually had one of our neighbors donate eggs and take the chicks after they hatched.  Henry has had lots of fun being the 'star of the show' because his mom is the 'chicken lady'. When they hatched they came out at basically the same time...so the kids didn't get to see any come out of the egg, And there were some beautiful chicks. The class loved having them for their first week of life and they each got to name them.  So there was Bolt (Henry's Name), Pop Star, Blackjack and a whole bunch of other very unique names.  There were some tears when they had to go back to the farm, but the chickens were happy to go.
