Castaway Cay - Oct 30th...and the journey home Oct 31st

On Friday, we made it to Disney's Island Castaway Cay. The last Disney cruise we went on they were "over capacity" making everything very crowded and very uncomfortable. This time the ship was not full. I was worried we would not be able to find a seat because we waited to go to the island until Henry woke up from his morning nap, which was about an hour after everyone else got off the boat. Since they were not full, there were still plenty of seats left (and umbrellas) on the beach. We just had to walk a ways, but where we picked was close to the lunch buffet and the restrooms.

Henry had an awesome time at the beach. This trip was worth it just to see him walk into the water and laugh and smile. He only did one header into the ocean, but because it was sea water he didn't cry too much. Andrew and I went snorkeling out in their man-made reef while Henry and Grandma stayed on the beach and played with the bucket and spade we bought. There was a very friendly lizard (that must be used to getting fed by the visitors) He came right up to Grandma and when she didn't give him any food (we at at the tables) she nibbled on her toes!

After a day of fun in the sun, we had one final dinner on the ship. They did a little dance song to "Its a small world after all" to recognize all the different countries that the crew are from. Henry really enjoyed himself and let loose! Overall, we had pretty good dining experiences with Henry on the ship. He sat through 7 dinners (with the help of the iTouch and Bee Bo (the baby signs bear).) Which was much better than expected.

On Saturday we were one of the lucky ones who was scheduled for breakfast at 6:30 AM. So we set an alarm got up, got Henry up, finished packing and made our way to our dining room. We were only 15 minutes late, which for us first thing in the morning is really good for us. I think it may be some kind of record! Anyway, after disembarking for the last time, getting a rental car, driving back to Orlando, getting through security, and flying on our one-stop flight home. We made it safe and sound. And I want to add, not a minute too soon...when we walked into our house we only had one diaper left! I think that even thought it was a lot of work, it was a very nice vacation.
