Pre-K Graduation and Belt Tests

.
Big Girl
Well, it is official that Jillian is now a Kindergartner.  I don't know how time passes so quickly.  We had her preschool graduation and she was so proud of herself. She sang her little 'Spondeo Preschool' song and got her certificate with her teacher.  The trees on the playground are not quite big enough to block out the sun for the parents watching, but at least the graduates were able to sit in the shade.  While, we loved being part of the Spondeo family, Andrew and I so excited that we no longer have a preschool payment.  It is like getting a pay raise! It is crazy to think that for the last 5 years, we have been paying tuition at Spondeo.  And there was a time that the payments were more than our morgage (when both kids were attending).

Jillian and Henry also had another belt test.  Jillian got her White Black belt.  She had to break a board in order to get it.  She did such a great job.  One shot and she broke it.  Henry is now a Tan belt.  He had a lot of trouble with the Kata, which was a coordination set, and I thought he was actually going to fail because he kept doing the sequence 3 times in each direction instead of 2.  But they passed him.  I think it will be good for him to take a break this summer and come back with a more clear head.  Hopefully, now that he is an advanced belt he will be more motivated to practice the moves.
