Today for spring break in Austin we went to a place called Kiddie Acres. We were treated by our awesome real estate agent because her son works there. So we got two rounds of Mini Golf, plus got to ride on everything they had. It is a cute little place that is probably best for independent 3 year olds to about 6. Although Henry did seem to enjoy most of the rides, but they were all so tiny...even compared to Jillian. The mini-golf was a total hit. Jillian hit lots of "holes in on..tw..thr..for...ONE!" Meaning that she hit the ball many times, but somehow kept scoring one. We each did get one hole in one...which was exciting. It was a nice, but basic course, but the kids had a lot of fun. Henry wanted me to save tickets so we can go back with Andrew sometime. We had to stop at Walmart along the way because it ended up being COLD in Austin this week. Who knew weather people could be so wrong. It was supposed to be warm and sunny (like upper 70s) all week when I packed in Phoenix, and it has turned out to be cold, cloudy and rainy/misty pretty much all week. This morning it was about 50 degrees and I had no jackets for anyone. So, I wore my warmest t-shirt and got clearance fleeces for the kids. We also heard from the home seller today...not good. She is not wanting to do any of the work that we requested (and there was a lot) plus she only conceded about 1/6 of the price that it is going to cost to fix everything. So, lots of discussions are going to happen tonight to figure out if we are going to stick with this property or go on to a new house. I was liking the idea of going home early next week instead of having to stay in Austin looking for a house...but we shall see. ![]() |
