Spring Fling

This past weekend was busy, as per usual. Henry's school had originally had scheduled their Spring fundraiser for last weekend, but due to some scheduling conflicts with the Carnival company, they moved the date to the this past weekend. Unfortunately, I didn't realize there was a date change until after I scheduled stuff for us to do...so we had to squeeze the carnival in. It was lots of fun. They had the kindergarten teachers doing face paining (and I have to say that most of them did a great job with the artwork). They had a bunch of different carnival games that the kids got a treat regardless if they won or not (yeah for candy). The had food trucks (which were tasty). And they had giant bouncers and a spinning dragon (like a tea cup ride). We didn't spend more than a couple of hours there, but I had something to go to later that night and it was HOT! Beginning of May here is usually when we start heating up. So...not the greatest afternoon/evening to be outside. It was still cool enough that if you stood in the shade it was ok, but well into the 90's. Jillian, my fearless child, wanted to go on the spinning dragon ride, but was scared. Henry being the best big brother every went on a couple of times then waited in line with her, holding her hand and when she was ready to concur her fear went on with her. Love my little guy. Jillian loved the spinning dragon too and everytime we drive by the school she asks where the dragon went. Just funny how she was leery of going into the dragon's belly. Some pictures below.
It's Spidergirl!

Jupiter with the red spot (Henry told the face painter it had to be accurate)
