We had our first Preschool field trip. It was okay. Every kid in the school came, but at least one parent of every kid was there too. So we were a really big group. Grandma Sue rode on the school bus with Henry, while Jillian and I waited at the farm. They were late getting to the farm because they had to buckle up every child into the school bus harnesses. Apparently, they zip up the back, not the front, so there was quite a bit of confusion. Once at the farm, we did a group picture then walked over to the playground. Then to the petting zoo. Then all the way to the opposite side of the farm for a hay ride. They have deer and fed them pumpkins, but other than that it was a standard ride. Then we had to walk all the way across to the opposite side of the farm again to our lunch tables. We had a quick lunch. Then it was bathrooms and walk over to the pumpkin patch (the far side again.) Henry was one of the 'lucky' ones because he could ride on the stroller. Most of the parents ended up carrying their child for part of the adventure. . It is a very large farm. The best part (or the most fun for the kids) was the 10 minutes we waited for the hay ride. They were throwing up hay in the air and running around like it was snowing. Plus they were burying each other and just having a great time. The weather cooperated as well. It was a beautiful low 80 degree day. First one we have had in a while.
